Thank you for visiting our site. Dancing has always been and probably always will be a way to express yourself. Through dancing you can reach a state of mind where conscious thought stops . You become absorbed in your body, which is always in motion, even when you are asleep. Your breathing and heart rhythm are the easiest body movements to detect. Your breathing brings oxygen to the movement and it is your heart that makes the connection between feeling and motion. The Five Rhythms is a dance aimed at getting in touch with the dancer residing within. Whether you’re  dancing on your own or with others you will keep following your own rhythm. Dancing is such a beautiful mirror of yourself. It shows you time and again where you stand in life. The Five Rhythms is based on life itself. This is why it is such a challenge and why people are moved by it. The first book by Gabriëlle Roth therefore had the title Maps to Ecstasy. When you have brought yourself to life through the dance you create the circumstances for experiencing the ecstasy of it (2nd book Sweat Your Prayers).
